The LRFMP will serve as a road map for future school facility investments that will include condition and program improvements while aligning our facilities to our current and future enrollments.
Boise School District has hired HPM as our LRFMP consultant to facilitate our community through this process. HPM Planning is led by Mr. Tracy Richter, a recognized national leader in K-12 planning with significant experience in Idaho and the United States. Joining him is Ada County resident, Mr. David Lopez, Senior Planner with HPM, as well as other HPM specialists on their team. HPM will be coordinating this planning process which approaches facilities decisions from a program/curriculum foundation, supported by demographic data, facilities condition and utilization data, and financial parameters. We believe this comprehensive approach will allow us to create a 10-15 year facilities plan structured around reliable data, while integrating the community during the development of the plan.
This Community Task Force will meet five (5) times beginning in May 2026 and lasting through November 2026, with the first two meetings being scheduled for:
- May 6th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- June 2nd from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
The role of the Task Force is to provide community oversight during the planning process that includes:
- Reviewing and providing feedback on data.
- Providing insight into effective means of communication to all residents of Boise School District.
- Serving as meeting facilitators during community meetings.
- Serving in an advisory capacity to the Board of Trustees, the District, and the consultant.
- Attend ALL Task Force Meetings
- Review data and be prepared for each meeting
- Be objective and maintain a District-level perspective
- Be open to all possibilities
- Members do not use the media or social media as a platform for personal agendas
- Communicate work and outcomes to the community
- Actively recruit citizens to attend community meetings
- Serve as a facilitator for small group discussions at community meetings
Thank you for your interest!

Superintendent
